AHB in garage wall: a nest this size houses thousand of bees. After the nest is located and the bees destroyed, walls need be opened to remove comb containing honey, decaying larvae, pupae, and adult bees. If the nest is not removed, warm temperatures can cause the honey-laden wax to melt resulting in extensive property damage. Also, a dead nest with a booty of honey is highly attractive to many hungry insect and vertebrate pests.
